We invite you to affiliate with ZteaM, the fastest-growing
national bicycling club.
Nearly every ZteaM chapter has a local bike shop or health
club affiliation where members congregate, shop for
merchandise/services, and buy ZteaM apparel.
Here's how your shop will benefit:
Increased store traffic and strong loyalty from ZteaM
members (Typical 20% store traffic increase)
New customers - 20% of ZteaM members are new cyclists or
old ones resurrected
Store name featured on local ZteaM chapter home page and
jersey
Bolstered community reputation. ZteaM is a charitable
organization that puts on events
Referred national recognition. ZteaM has an up and
coming prominent Elite team
ZteaM branded merchandise offers a respectable margin to
the store (Optional, but doing so is usually an
excellent generator of traffic. ZteaM apparel kiosk is
also available.)
What ZteaM asks you to do:
Offer your location as a meeting place for rides, if
applicable
Inventory and sell ZteaM apparel to members
*Provide ZteaM members merchandise discounts
(strictly optional)
*If able or willing, sell some sponsored items (e.g.,
Ridley, Sidi, Look pedals, Enervit, Vredestein, Limar, and
Michelin) at a lower margin than full-retail pricing.
(Optional, but ZteaM negotiates pricing with these
manufacturers that is often lower than shops pay.)
Consider opening shop on Thursday PM prior to local
races for your shop mechanic to work on local ZteaM
members racing bikes at what ever rate you wish to offer
the club. This generates shop loyalty but reduces ZteaM
members demanding your store labor time during peak sales
periods.
* Discounts may vary at participating ZteaM store
affiliates. ZteaMs intention is to support our
participating retail bike shops and not try to flush
discounted products through their system. The more
successful a ZteaM chapter, the more likely the retail
store affiliate is to offer superior service and prices to
ZteaM members.
